We all know and love Valentine's Day, a day dedicated to romantic love. But what about the other incredibly important love in our lives – the love for our amazing friends? That's where Galentine's Day comes in, and I'm so excited to be hosting my first-ever celebration this year!
For those unfamiliar with this delightful holiday, Galentine's Day was unofficially born from the brilliant minds behind the TV show Parks and Recreation. Leslie Knope, the eternally enthusiastic and heartwarming character, declared February 13th as a day purely for "ladies celebrating ladies." It's a day to shower your female friends with love, appreciation, and maybe even some waffles (a Leslie Knope staple!). It's about recognizing the incredible power and support of platonic friendship, the women who lift you up, cheer you on, and stand by you through thick and thin.
This year, I felt it was the perfect time to bring this spirit of friendship into my own community. I'm thrilled to have hosted my very first Galentine's Day party, bringing together some of my dearest friends and wonderful clients. It was a chance to step away from the everyday hustle, enjoy some good company, delicious treats, and simply celebrate each other.
I believe that strong relationships, both personal and professional, are the foundation of a happy and fulfilling life. My clients are not just business associates; many have become genuine friends and trusted companions. This party was my way of saying a heartfelt "thank you" for your support, your trust, and for being such incredible women. It's a no-pressure, all-love kind of gathering designed to simply celebrate the joy of female friendship.
